At OOH LA LA Painting Studio & Tea Room, we began with a simple idea: create a space where people could come together, celebrate life's moments, and unleash their creativity.
That idea quickly blossomed into something even more meaningful-a place where art and healing meet. This led to the creation of our signature experience: "Art Therapy & a Cup of Tea". A relaxing, holistic escape designed to soothe the soul, quite the mind, and awaken your inner artist.
Today, we offer over 20 unique ways to express creativity-from whimsical painting session, themed workshops, seasonal events, and relaxing tea experiences. Whether you're here to paint, sip, or simply breathe, you'll find a nurturing environment where joy and creativity come to life.
You are welcome to bring your own wine to drink.
Our Tea Room includes a dinning room table and a parlor that has sofas and chairs to provide extra seating. The table can be set and decorated to host a variety of celebrations!
Connie Post, our founder and creator, moved to Knoxville after a long and celebrated career in the home furnishings industry. Globally recognized for her visionary work, Connie led a team of talented designers who created over 25 million square feet of retail and wholesale store spaces across the world. Her career highlights include work as an architectural store designer, keynote speaker, product designer, and author of "A Beautiful Room Will Change Your Life"—featured on Amazon, in over 700 Sherwin-Williams stores, and in book clubs nationwide.
Driven by her deep faith and desire to honor God’s gifts, Connie poured her creativity into everything she did. But when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, her thriving business came to an abrupt halt, forcing her to part ways with her dedicated team of over 30 years. She pivoted to retail and found success again—until a devastating cyberattack ended that chapter, too.
Through it all, Connie leaned on her faith and recognized that each challenge, even as a breast cancer survivor, had a divine purpose. These unexpected turns led her to Knoxville, where her grandchildren needed her most. Inspired by family, grounded in faith, and fueled by creativity, OOH LA LA Painting Studio & Tea Room came to life—a joyful, welcoming space where others can relax, create, and reconnect with their own inner spark. Today, Connie is proud to run this heart-centered, family-supported business alongside her grandchildren, offering a place of warmth, inspiration, and artistic healing.
